How can I participate in the Return Cost Refund program?
Here's how to participate in the Returned Expense Reimbursement program:
- Go to the Return Refund page.
- Click Activate with one click and follow the steps.
Once the service is activated, you can submit a request for a return shipping cost reimbursement. The Return Cost Reimbursement service can cover the cost of returning eligible items.
You can send your request in the following way:
- Return the purchased item to the seller within the required time frame and retain the receipt and shipping documentation as indicated in the terms and conditions, under "What information do I need to provide along with my refund request?"
- Log in to your PayPal account.
- Click on Activity and search for the transaction corresponding to the returned item.
- Click on the transaction you have returned.
- Click on the link "Request Return Refund" and fill in the form.
We may request the following information from you:
- A copy of the shipping document (showing the amount paid and the recipient's address).
- A photo of the package (to be taken prior to shipment) that includes the correct packaging and the recipient's address.
Does my purchase meet the conditions of the Refund of return costs program?
The purchase and return must meet the following conditions to be covered by the program. Once you have submitted your request, a Customer Service representative will review it and a decision will be made within 5 business days.
- Requests can only be submitted for physical items. Donations, digital items, services and other types of transfers do not qualify.
- You must follow the return guidelines and conditions of the seller.
- The seller from whom you purchased the item cannot offer an independent free return service.
- Three (3) refunds are allowed per PayPal transaction. If you return multiple items from the same transaction at three different times, they will be counted as three separate returns, thus subject to the applicable refund limit.
- You must submit documentation to demonstrate the following:
- The amount you paid for the return shipment
- The address to which the item was returned or the return confirmation
- Requests must be sent within 30 days after returning the goods to the seller.
- Any additional information requested during the review must be sent within 7 days from the date of the request.
- The item must be purchased through a registered PayPal account. Payments made through PayPal as a guest user (without being logged into your account) are not covered.
You may submit up to 12 applications per calendar year with a maximum amount of 30 euros per application.
Where can I see the refund?
The refund will be processed within 10 days of submitting your request. If your request is approved, you will see the refund in your PayPal balance. Log in to your PayPal account and click Activity. Find the transaction marked PayPal Return Chargeback Reimbursement. You will see the amount that has been refunded. The maximum amount is 30 euros per refund.
Where can I find the status of my refund request?
Log in to your PayPal account and click Activity. Select the transaction associated with the request. Click View previous chargeback refund requests. The status of your request is displayed in the right column.
How can I update the information I have provided for the return expense reimbursement request?
Log in to your PayPal account and click Activity. Select the transaction associated with the request. Click View previous chargeback refund requests. If additional information is required for the request, you can edit the request by clicking the Update Request link.

Return Shipping on Us – Standard Solution
- This program is for buyers only and is not applicable for seller's shipping costs.
- Requests must be submitted within 30 days of shipping the item back to the seller.
- The maximum amount you can be refunded per claim is $30 USD.
- You can make a maximum of 12 claims per year.
- Only one refund is allowed per PayPal transaction ID, which can be found in your PayPal account. If you return several items from the same transaction at once, that will be considered a single return and will be subject to the applicable refund cap.
- You'll need to upload documents to prove the amount you paid for shipping and that you shipped the items back to the seller; see “What information do I have to provide with my Refund request claim form?” on the terms and conditions page.
- You must follow all return instructions and policies of the seller.
- You can only make a refund request if the seller doesn’t already offer to cover the return shipping.
- You must have purchased the item within the last 150 days.
- If the shipping amount exceeds $30.00 USD and all requirements are met, up to $30.00 USD will be refunded.
- As long as the service is active, regardless of when the customer is enrolled, and is within the last 150 days, the customer may still be eligible to use the free return shipping program. Direct queries should be directed to Telus.
Return Shipping on Us – New, Free Solution “FedEx shipping label”
Buyers will have the option to generate a free FedEx shipping label in addition to the standard option to claim the cost on a return shipment they already made. Buyers can choose their preferred return shipping option where applicable.
Here is a summary of some of the most important information:
- The free return shipping label is only available to buyers if purchases are made from eligible domestic merchants.
- This enhancement will enable buyers to generate a free return shipping label for domestic shipping via FedEx without waiting to get reimbursed.
- Once the label is created, it must be used within 60 calendar days to return the item.
- Must ensure that the return package doesn’t include hazardous materials.
- Need to follow the FedEx weight and dimensions limits. In continental United States, a limit of 40 pounds or 12,000 cubic inches. For buyers in Alaska and Hawaii, a weight limit of 8 pounds and a volume limit of 2,400 cubic inches applies.
Here's how to request a return shipping refund:
- Return the purchased item to the seller within the required timeframe and retain postage receipt and documentation (you'll need to show the return address, so if you do not have it written on the postage receipt, take a photo that shows the return address on the actual package you're sending).
- Go to your Activity page and click the relevant transaction.
- Click Get Return Shipping on Us under “Return shipping refunds.”
- Select the correct category and return reason from the drop-down menus.
- Select either Create a free FedEx shipping label or Request a shipping refund.
- Follow the steps on screen.
After submitting the request, you’ll receive an email confirming the open request, or your free FedEx shipping label. You can print the label, pack your items and take it to FedEx within 60 days. A second email will confirm the outcome of your request.
